New ways of being in tune with the times
The Housing Design Center (HDC) houses stores and showrooms related to the "home" such as kitchens, baths and other water-related equipment, interior design, furniture, new construction, and remodeling. Market changes such as increasing demand for remodeling and digitalization have prompted a need to redefine what the brand should be for the future. The purpose of the project was "finding the perfect 'way of living* for each individual, together." The brand image has been renewed to make HDC more sophisticated, with a concentration of housing-related showrooms open to a wider range of visitors. (*Way of living is defined as a way to enrich the time spent at home.) The VI uses bright orange and a harmonious combination of square elements to express the excitement and playfulness of encountering the exciting "way of living," which is also the slogan of the brand. At the same time, we undertook the rebranding of HDC BOX, a showroom that brings together different types of housing parts. The design was intended to create synergy between the brands by linking HDC Box to HDC and to accelerate brand awareness. HDC Kobe, which reopened in August 2024 for the 30th anniversary of HDC's business, reflects the brand identity throughout the building under the supervision of the HDC Business Division staff. It has become a location for important interactions with customers, enabling a multisensory experience of HDC and HDC BOX brands. We also adopt a consistent approach to actively developing anniversary promotions.
